Caroline Laurita-Manzo born as Caroline Laurita on the 3rd of August, 1961, is an American actress, a TV personality, and an entrepreneur. The 56-year-old TV star was born in Brooklyn, New York and currently resides in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. She has been active on television since 2007 and makes constant appearances on the TV talk shows and series in the U.S.

Caroline had always had a passion for television and first appeared on ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey in 2009’ along with her sister-in-Law (Jacqueline Laurita) and sister (Dina Manzo) who both appeared on the show.

‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’

Caroline shot to prominence for her leading role in Bravo TV show’s ‘Housewives’ franchise. She played the role of a devoted mother and wife of three children. The show also cast Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice. It premiered on Bravo on the 12th of May, 2009, and aired for 8 seasons (Caroline Manzo left after the 5th season). After leaving ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ after its 5th season, she started production on ‘Manzo’d with Children’, which focused on her personal family. Controversy

Real Housewives of New Jersey: In 2012, rumors began to circulate the media that fellow cast mate Teresa Giudice and Caroline had not been on speaking terms in over a year. Claims in some quarters had it that the pair fell apart during an onscreen trip when Caroline expressed her views about comments about her in Giudice’s cookbook ‘Fabulicious’. In the cookbook, Teresa Giudice referenced Manzo as being “as Italian as the Olive Garden”. Caroline didn’t take this reference kindly.

Feud with Dina: Dina Manzo only appeared in the first and second season installment of the ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ and didn’t appear on the show ever again until the show’s conclusion. Facts are still sketchy about what really ignited the feud between the two sisters which started in 2010. In a personal blog in 2010, Dina claimed that certain things transpired within family members behind the scenes which put a strain on their relationship. This kick started a back and forth exchange of words between Caroline and her sister for years which further damaged their relationship.

Links to the Mafia: Caroline’s father-in Law Albert Manzo was murdered in 1983. His body was found in a car trunk in New Jersey riddled with bullets. His gang-star like assassination raised a lot of dust at the time with popular opinion suggesting that he must have belonged to the violent drug mob in Jersey which was prevalent at the time. The book was released in 2013 and drew mixed reviews from critics. ‘Let Me Tell You Something’ remains the only book ever released by her ever since.
